1. What Has Legs Does

Has Legs helps users talk through ideas, questions, plans or problems and turn that information into structured outputs such as clarifications, Idea Briefs, practical next steps and Action Plans.

The service may use voice transcription, artificial intelligence and other automated technologies.

Has Legs is a thinking and planning tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, engineering, accounting, investment or other regulated professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to enter into these Terms in the jurisdiction where you live.

If you use Has Legs on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account.

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping access to your account secure.

You must not impersonate another person or use an account you are not authorized to access.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect Has Legs, other users or third parties.

4. Voice Recording and Consent

Has Legs may allow you to record yourself or conversations involving other people.

You are responsible for determining whether you have the right to record a conversation.

You must obtain any consent required by applicable law before recording another person.

Do not use Has Legs to secretly or unlawfully record private conversations.

5. AI Generated Content

Has Legs uses artificial intelligence to analyze and transform information provided by users.

AI generated outputs may contain errors, misunderstand information, omit important facts or make incorrect assumptions.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

Has Legs does not guarantee that an Idea Brief, recommendation, business concept, Action Plan or other output will be accurate, commercially successful, technically feasible, legally compliant or appropriate for your circumstances.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions.

6. Ideas and User Content

You retain ownership of the ideas, recordings, written material and other original content you provide to Has Legs.

Using Has Legs does not transfer ownership of your underlying idea to us.

You give Has Legs permission to process, store, reproduce and transmit your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the service and provide the features you request.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit does not violate the rights of another person.

7. No Intellectual Property Guarantee

Has Legs does not determine whether an idea is original, patentable, trademarkable, confidential or free from third party intellectual property rights.

Other people may independently have the same or similar ideas.

You are responsible for obtaining professional advice if intellectual property protection matters to you.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use Has Legs to violate the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, harass or threaten others, distribute malicious software, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, bypass usage limits or security measures, abuse automated systems, misrepresent AI generated content as verified professional advice, or use the service in a way that could reasonably harm Has Legs, its providers or other users.

9. Usage Limits

Has Legs may place limits on recording time, the number of ideas, AI processing, account activity, free usage or paid features.

Limits may vary by account, subscription, promotion or product version.

We may modify reasonable usage limits as the service develops.

10. Paid Features

Has Legs may offer paid features, subscriptions, one time purchases or other premium access.

Prices and included features will be shown before purchase.

Where permitted by law, digital purchases are final once access, AI processing or other digital services have begun.

Payments are non refundable except where required by applicable law or where Has Legs specifically states otherwise.

Taxes may be added where required.

11. Third Party Services

Has Legs relies on third party providers for functions such as authentication, hosting, storage, speech recognition, artificial intelligence, security, analytics, email and payments.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for outages, changes or failures caused by third party providers that are outside our reasonable control.

12. Availability and Changes

Has Legs is under active development.

Features may be added, changed, limited or removed.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error free.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, technical problems or other operational reasons.

13. Has Legs Intellectual Property

The Has Legs software, branding, design, website, interfaces, prompts, workflows, graphics and other materials created by or for Has Legs are owned by Has Legs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms give you permission to use Has Legs for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the Has Legs platform or technology to you.

14. Feedback

If you send suggestions, product feedback or ideas specifically about improving Has Legs itself, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or payment.

This does not give us ownership of unrelated business or personal ideas you process through the service.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Has Legs is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not make warranties that the service will meet every requirement, produce a successful outcome, identify every risk, generate correct information or operate without interruption.

Nothing generated by Has Legs should be treated as independently verified fact unless you verify it separately.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Has Legs and its operators, affiliates, contractors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

This includes loss of profits, business opportunities, data, goodwill or anticipated savings.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Has Legs during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses or expenses arising from your unlawful use of Has Legs, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person’s rights, or recordings made without required consent.

18. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Has Legs at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirement or conduct that could harm the service or other users.

Where practical, we may provide notice before termination.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction in British Columbia, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Has Legs develops.

Material changes may be communicated by updating the effective date, posting revised Terms on the website or providing another reasonable notice.

Continued use of Has Legs after revised Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
